it's the great dragonfly migration.

i know. i dudn look like much, but it's deucedly hard to show these beauties on the wing at least for a slow lensed-and-witted amateur like me. i wish i could show what it was like this morning, lightly rippled water, about half a mile out, copper and i swimming with myriad dragonflys cruising over our heads. later there were as many of the flesh-eating moscas and copp got another bloody nose. we swam out to the shoal and i stood and held him on my chest, paws over my shoulders like a baby, and we walked way out in the lake. then i spun him in circles in my arms and he burped and made rumbling sounds. a scuba diving couple resting on the boiler room of the wreck were charmed. my friend mr cohen says he will make a dragonfly of sea glass for me. that will be lovely. otherwise i have this gravity that is between air and water, not overwhelming, but like you know, tristesse.
