nothing lasts but heaven i thought as i swam with mister toward the sun casting spinnerets through the morning tinted clouds or something to that effect, heaven, i thought, where all the alters go, and where there are no cell phones to fail.

this morning copper and i swam out to the shipwreck for the first time this unsummery summer. my lungs were fine and i made it without a cough. the wreck was nearly submerged but enough showed to locate and enough for copp and i to rest and hug before swimming back. copp swam the distance with a red bottle in his mouth. he was so proud and ecstatic and we both returned to land more buoyant, body and soul. then i remembered my phone is failing and the poisoner levy is still alive. this perfect world...

today the wave's were crushing. copp still swam and i got drenched in camera. i wanted to end the poisoner thread by clarifying that Levy the Poisoner is a volunteer steward of the park service and i assume his poison spraying is mandated by the city. i'm somehow not surprised really that the the park service would poison a nature sanctuary, and yet i'm deeply saddened. and as i too eat berries there i probably ingested ppm's of levy's poison. i keep thinking we can't get much more cynical than this, but i'm sure i will be surprised again.
