i get a little nervous reading a river of books realizing the writer is jewish. she writes about slavery and the genocide of the native people of turtle island, and the nazi holocaust, and i wonder if she will say anything about the israeli genocide of the palestians. i'm nervous, but it's a little book. i'll keep on reading through.
