i'm reading over the sea wall about maladaptation and the no-analog future. it's not like a tsunami is going to hit chicago(?)but draining the wetland and building a massive concrete fortress is dumb, and maladaptive, though obama isn't trying to adapt, but to force the environment to adapt to him.
