i came across the term ambiguous loss. i guess i knew it before. it applies to a variety of things, like dementia, lost connection, unresolved grief. this morning i'm thinking of the loss of the park. it looks unambiguous, it looks like a common disaster, but it leaves me with the feeling of ambiguous loss. it seems to be an apt term for the times, and all the loss we can't resist.
