i wanna draw up a list of positive aspects to coronavirus at this point not sick or on the front lines where i know it's terrifying and so mysterious and deadly.
1. time of quiet with more birds than planes
2. time less pollution
3. time to think
4. time to contemplate animals
5. time to find out what is essential
6. time not to perform grueling meaningless work
7. time to collage
8. time to write a poem whatever the hell you say is a poem
9. time to slow down and look at things like i do all the time
10. time to make love after the alarm not just between snooze buttons
11. time plus to savor liberry books
12. time to watch that series on undocumented americans
13. time to meditate on what time is and time to rest in unknowing
14. major car companies have shut down.
this is of course a partial impromptu list and your may vary somewhat considerably. feel free to add any or all of my list to yours, and if you have any positive suggestions, please pass them on.
this may be the calm before we are utterly overwhelmed like italy. we may have little time, but at this point all we can do is take care, and savor whatever good things we still may have.
the government abandoned us long before this. everyone now knows this. i could add this to the list—we can no longer sleep in the assumption that government is working for us, or working at all.
