i often don't have time for nuance and that's no excuse but a truth i'll admit i see things in a hard light sometimes. maybe the photos are a tad more nuanced, but like, gun control, shit you can't even bring it up, it's not just the politicians and nra and arms merchants, people regard guns as a fundamental american right. they will not give up their guns, and the mention of gun control gets them up in arms and reaching for their guns. i have to look up the guns per capita now. it used to be three for every man woman and child but don't quote me, when i have a min i'll look it up. but i dont want to talk about this shit, it's in the air. people will give up, and already have i'd say, their country before they surrender their right to bear arms. they really think guns protect us despite common sense and statistics, despite the profiteers laughing as they grow rich. they think the politicians are there to defend us and our right to bear arms, when they are simply defending their right to profit by our murderous fears.
