i saw hitchcock truffaut and got a warm feeling for both, but especially hitch. he loved and respected his audience and always gave them great suspense and nourishment for the imagination. he wondered at the end if he sacrificed something else, something more open and personal, for high entertainment. i think he was a master of art and entertainment, and so did truffaut. that he did it also in hollywood is a great testament to his art.
then i saw that robocop guy, verhoeven's, elle, which dorcas liked and deemed hitchcockian and i thought, that ain't hitch, it's kitsch.

so there you have it, if you want to look at isabelle huppert looking orange and sexy ok, just don't look for hitchcock. for hitch look at hitchcock truffaut. for sexy look at marnie or birds, for magic art look at vertigo. ok thanks.
