saw the hater with the cute lil brown dog again
saw her from a distance seething
walked mister off to the side on the wide verge
her lil brown dog pulled toward mister
she jerked the lil brown dog away with a scowl
hating the little brown dog's free wish leashed
mister looked on
i stopped and said to mister and addressed the air 
in her wake-
lil dog just wants to socialize 


all you can do is the good thing,
for the dog and you and all-the haters too
for even the hater doesn't benefit from hate-
how could they, or their little dogs
benefit from hating freedom and love
if the hater can't love, can't they at least let the dog? 

we can't succumb to hate or we're done for

poor dogs have no choice but to succumb to their masters'
hate and control.
i have a choice.
