this morning, though it's dark and rainy, the pooter is humming smooth. i got one more cometus rhinocerus left.
spoketh too soon, getting that pink error bar again.

after meeting pang, the savannah cat, and talking with a cat rescue friend, i thought about how we're steady killing animals and habitat and at the same time missing them and making our own versions that can fit inside our paradigms and still evoke the lost wilderness. or is that too much. i think muir said something about wilderness being crucial to humans, but most of them have no notion of it and would replace everything with plastic and technology.
i love wickett the bengal i walked who's smaller than pang but similarly lean and wild, and i loved the feeling of him yearning to adventure in trees and alley fences and under things. so i completely understand the motive for making wild versions. i try to do that with myself in the city. i can't live entire in nature, any more than i can thrive in the artificial city. i try to relax the boundaries and bring a little lost nature in.
