sometimes he knows what i want him to do but only does it after a while on his own.

 at first, if i put a carrot on a pig's nose to get him to kiss a pig, he just looks blank.

 then he looks at me, bored by my conceits. 

 maybe he's just too dignified to eat a carrot from a piglet's nose.
