i was surprised to like before midnight and to hope these characters continue to make films about themselves even if they may be annoying. i love thinking about the span of their lives, from the young random meeting of trains to the randomness of endurance and twins and books, and though they talk maybe too much, you can sort of tune them out at times knowing what they are going to say and it's a comfort to be eavesdropping and alternately bored and gulping.
