on the beach near the channel of the harbor the mother salmon who come to spawn give up the ghost. many fishermen line the walls of the harbor by the animal bridge swinging their poles rhythmically. a running couple stop thinking the lean copp is a coyote from a distance and say they just saw one who lives under the boathouse beware and i say oh good i'm glad you saw one. they saw a cooper's hawk too, there are many predators around. that's a good sign eh i say, maybe we will become an ecosystem!
