Chomsky was hired in a military lab at M.I.T. funded 90% by the pentagon. he was a culture producer for the state, a liberal providing cover for empire building and manufacturing consent, and his tenured shadow obscured Michael Parenti, who actually had integrity and steadfastly maintained his integrity without the auspices of the institutions of empire. I'm  gradually learning about the deceptions of the ruling classes and about the critical thinkers who are mostly pushed aside into the shadows. That's where I want to look.
