Daniel Pinchbeck said The man who hired Epstein originally at Dalton was Donald Barr, headmaster at Dalton, father of U.S. attorney William, Barr who later investigated Epstein's death. Donald Barr was the sci-fi writer of Space Relations, a 1973 novel about a planet ruled by oligarchs who engage in child sex slavery and rape.

The last person to visit Epstein was William Barr.

Pinchbeck notes the masochistic pleasure of humiliation, not just of the other, but of the self, to understand the appeal of the sociopathic oligarch. The sociopathic oligarch becomes the fetish object for what has been lost, in the case of Trump the lost object is the authority of the white patriarch, the collapse of American Exceptionalism, the humiliation caused by globalization and cultural liberalism. It's castration anxiety writ large, and a conflation of social cancers.
