my voice gets strident and dog i don't like it. does it matter if we know what the government does? it's out of our control. we can't do anything about the wars or the persecution of journalists and murder of citizens or the destruction of the earth. it's all according to plan and market forces. it may be better not to know. but you can't not know what you know, even the parts that you don't know, that you know that you don't know and that frustrate you so knowing it's going somewhere dark and inexorable for some inscrutable reason that defies sentience. we know how it's going. we know how it goes.
