i got mail from preservation chicago about the ongoing expansion of the obama plan and the killing of 866 more trees, asking for people to take pictures. i'm crushed on a personal level, and the collective feels like a crucible. i got so many pictures of trees being killed when the obama fundation first broke ground. like pictures of war, one feels crushed, and the war goes on. i think we're going to feel this for the rest of time.
