i understand why folks might not want to know what the government does—it's evil. but i'm grateful for the truth tellers, whistle blowers and journalists of integrity. we suffer what we don't know, we suffer more in ignorance. the belmarsh tribunal is profoundly depressing and yet hopeful. the hope comes from the love and conviction of the many who want a government and society that upholds life over killing for power and profit. they are getting heard. the government is being revealed to be a criminal disgrace. i hope we won't have to deal with life under a totalitarian system for long, and i hope julian assange is released.
