ok, i hope things are ok in magic's umwelt. mary said my picture of him i sent looked sad. well i do see sadness, but in the world, not the dog. maybe that's my umwelt, but i think it's the forsaken reality we're in. i saw a fellow and thought he didn't recognize me so shuffled on and he said hey behind me and i turned to say i'm myopic in this weather. he said that's a good word for this country, and he said people don't know they're myopic and i said it's like we can't see the water we're in and he said especially here, like the university of chicago, the obamachron, the oligarchy and so on, and i said yeah, this fishbowl, making the gesture of a fishbowl with my arms outstretched, and we laughed and said have a good holiday hey hey.
