war brings up all kinds of monsters. it's like the unconscious of civilization. people can be so thoughtless and automatic, so unthinking, as though their sensibilities have been colonized and occupied by propaganda.  all the while the arms industry grows exponentially while  living systems collapse. 

i'm unsubscribing to nick cave the musician's blog. answering a question about why he supports the ukrainians and not the palestinians he said 

the invasion of Ukraine by Russia is simply not the same thing as the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine; one is a brutal unprovoked attack on one state by another, in the hope of revising the entire security structure of Europe, and the other is a deeply complex clash of two nations that is far from straightforward. 

it's just the standard propaganda, and no matter who he supports and who he ignores, the arms industry will continue do it's grim reaping, but before unsubscribing i had to write how wrong he is. he doesn't see what is going on in both places is not a clash but a slaughter for the enrichment of the monsters of civilization. the arms manufacturers will send their weapons of mass destruction anywhere the client wills.
