i feel very strange in the normality. in the library my librarian says take that ugly mask off. at the naprapath the previous patient and the path were both unmasked and i'm not sure if she changed the sheet. i flipped my mask into the plastic belongings tub anyway. went to bonne sante for milk thistle to cleanse my liver from the pain pills—masks, zero. how did we go from everybody masking to some or none. did the pandemic suddenly end with the mask mandate? i'm a stranger in this world. i know we're still here, though it feels unreal, but where i wonder do we go from here.
