i wonder if copper penny misses mister. he brought us all closer. i remember when i first came over for dinner penny swatted me. last night she came to bed at movie time and kneaded my hip, as i had a bowl of popcorn on my belly. then i rubbed her face and she curled into me and purred, rolling on her back for tummy rubs. before mister's visit she didn't do that, jasper did. i guess jasper was giving her the space. he didn't come to bed until morning. he came and spooned with my bottom. he was very affectionate too, rubbing and purring his love engine. i think they were curious and grew quite calm with dog, but they must have wondered, is this a done deal? and will he take over in his calm majesty? so i think they were relieved to have their boy back to share between them. and boy is happy to have his loving cats back.
