i put hilde's hood and booties on and struggle with comet who peels his off and i look back and hilde's standing motionless her eyes hooded just waiting patiently to see again. by the time we get to the stairs comet has tossed one boot unbeknownst to me and at the bottom of the stairs has only one boot left on so i return his boots and carry on. he won't poop and hilde scarfs snow but does manage to poop and only lose one boot right after a passerby says oh those must be so easy to get on! and i say yes, and off.
