i ask the mailman if he knows about the parking garage on the midway plan and he says, oh hell no we don't need no more buildings, i'll take this home and my wife will sign too. today i thought in a typical reversal of sense and logic, it was jehovah's mailman who's the political one, and it's us that's try to save the park from the politician's political machinations. there are mailmen and there are mailmen. these are the two mail carriers on my dogs' blocks. it dawns on me that a petition like this is an experiment with reality.
