just as we all spring from a common source
so we are are all to some degree aliens on this earth.
because the earth is our longstanding home
we owe it love and care.
yet we come from elsewhere
and we will go elsewhere.

the evolution of our physical nature derives from this earth
but to that component of life which we call spirit
our present physical existence is but an episode
in an infinite pilgrimage of consciousness
toward a wider and wider universality.
