 bug talked about omens for the new year, wondered if omens mean evil things, and i say they can be good or bad. if i could i'd pick a rune for bug, but i can only pick one for myself, when r. gets back from her bird walk. we thought of going to see the bison today but thought again we best stay put. i thought about what runes could be, roots, inkblots, trees, birds, anything, they all work, they're all good, and oracles, they're ordinary like washtubs, they're whatever speaks to you.
