The power went out by Friedl, west of the train tracks. We were spared this time. The rain stopped and the sun set and the fireworks started and the fog came and muffled the explosions. I thought how crazy things are. How we struggle as human beings in the world we made out of nature. Out of nature, out of our minds. How societies dream of utopia, and paradise, of somehow going back to before we fucked it up so badly. This morning before my first sip of coffee I read about the genocide economy and forgot my dreams.
