october 7, the kid goes to the doctor. we love the kid, who may be called olive, but we don't honestly know if we can keep the kid. let's just see. october 7 is a big day. it could be the beginning of a new cat life, and we hope it's not the beginning of a war to end civilization. something may feel like providence or fate and we have to pause and think how our decisions enjoin a big responsibility. it goes beyond us, but it is us. the fate of the earth and a single cat rescued from another fate. there may be multiple fates implied in any given moment in creation. i may use too many words just trying to think.
