when i got the pointers i was thinking out loud, what is this business of the lesser evil? hilde's deaf to me, comet just rolls his eyes. why do we always have to choose the lesser evil? why do we choose evil at all? it's absurd, really, we think we're going to ward off the greater evil with the lesser? and the lesser evil is killing us just the same. so we choose obomba, and then, because we hoped for change, a kinder gentler lesser evil, another empty seduction, the old time honored bait and switch, and wham! we get the walloped by the prime realtor of evil, the retail giant, the agent orange of toxic capitalists . i said jeff, what do you think about this business of the lesser evil? it just shows we are in big trouble. right? it just shows the system itself is over, it's pure evil, there's no division, the divisions are just propaganda. jeff says that's right, the vote ain't gonna get it. we have to stop the whole system, and start something new.
thanks, jeff. can we make this a regular feature?
postscript. what i meant to say and i'm not sure where it diverged, was necessary evil, but that led into the bi-partisan demockrisy scheme of the lesser evil, which is not a political platform per se but certainly how sham elections are regarded on the street. so, jeff on the weekend, in absentia, what about necessary evil then? we may regard endless war and endless expansion and prison camps and coups and the crushing of little upstart democracies as necessary evils, but necessary for whom? none of us, but the rich who play their deadly game for fabulous wealth with our little expendable lives. one thing i know, jeff, the lesser evil gets greater all the time.
