my blue octahedron. i found a book of crystals that said the cleavage planes in flourite form natural octahedrons, which resemble two four-sided pyramids joined base to base, each exposed face being an equilateral triangle. the blue-purple fluorite called derbyshire blue john may be mine. i'm thrilled i found this in the black staircase of the murder-suicide house and out of the shadow it called me. i like that this book rocks hard on the frou-frou nonsense about crystals and gets down to what is essential: their intense beautiful mystery.
this blue is said to aid in the integration of knowledge, and to strengthen its user's analytical abilities, and bring clarity and peacefulness of mind.
i will only say unequivocally, my blue octahedron makes me feel good.
