human, all too human

directing non-actors.

when directing non-actors the director must allow for improvisation and the spontaneous expression of natural personality.

however, the director must be a presiding influence and get alpha on them on occasion in order to capture the natural expression of personality. if the director regards the non-actor as professional, he will fail to get the natural gift of the non-actors' personality, and respect.

after a few minutes of kinetic posing, it is good to let loose with a peace dance before repairing to the interior for repose.
