9-11, 2001-2026. We came, we saw, they died. Nostalgia, bitterness, and hate — the doctrine of hope and change.

 We're witnessing the birth pangs of a new middle east! Iran's kicking the Epstein empire's ass! Long live the axis of resistance!

 I can feel Lulu getting older at the end of the leash. It's day 1070 of the Gaza genocide. The Epstein empire is being defeated, and still wants to destroy what it can't control. On the walk I cry inside. 

Obama and Trump seem like cosmic opposites: the tasteful and the vulgar; the respecter of norms and the smasher of precedent; the reluctant president and the would-be tyrant who will stop at nothing.

But there is a common thread if we look closer. Both men are celebrities who headed up popular movements that turned out, when challenged, to be as thin as a coating of ice on a windshield. They are both men of image, and in both cases the image is a sort of phony populism. Obama’s salutes to “ordinary people” were not much more sincere than Trump’s shout-outs to the “forgotten man.” 

These mighty men and their plutocratic populism: it is their world now, not ours, and sometimes it feels as though all that is really left to us ordinary people are futile gestures.

America, the Greater Israel Project, False Flag, the Ugly Othering Tower of Contemptuous Lies, the Global Bubble Empire of War Waste, Rogue Terror State of Artificial Intelligence and Genocide. 

 It feels like the tail end of everything. The gilded age of artificial intelligence. The end of summa, the worm in the peach. Data, we're all just motes of data, sucked up into the elite machinery of empire as it approaches it's nil point apotheosis and unnatural collapse.

I intend no insult when I use the word “elite”; it is the only word that accurately represents the dazzling list of names one finds on the Obama Center’s donor wall. In the fifty-million-dollars-and-up category we find Jeff Bezos, of Amazon and the Washington Post; Connie Ballmer, the wife of a former Microsoft CEO; Brian Chesky, the CEO of Airbnb; TWG Global, an AI-focused holding company; a foundation associated with the private-equity billionaire Glenn H. Hutchins; and a mystery donor identified as Anonymous.

What unites all these oligarchs and dynasts, all these monopolists and employers of lobbyists, is their interest in advancing a very particular interpretation of history. It goes like this: “ordinary people” can make “extraordinary change.”
