yes we can can (great gosh a-mighty)

Now's the time for all good men
To get together with one another
We got to iron out our problems
And iron out our quarrels
And try to live as brothers
And try to find a piece of land
Without stepping on one another
And do respect the women of the world
Remember you all have mothers

We got to make this land a better land
Than the world in which we live
And we got to help each man be a better man
With the kindness that we give

I know we can make it
I know darn well we can work it out
Oh yes we can, I know we can can
Yes we can can, why can't we?
If we wanna get together we can work it out

And we gotta take care of all the children
The little children of the world
'cause they're our strongest hope for the future
The little bitty boys and girls

We got to make this land a better land
Than the world in which we live
And we got to help each man be a better man
With the kindness that we give

I know we can make it
I know darn well we can work it out
Oh yes we can, I know we can can
Yes we can can, why can't we?
If we wanna, yes we can can

The Pointer Sisters
i just read that hilde slid down the stairs on her back this morning, and she was unfazed. what a girl!

i still want to believe someone could come along and redeem this country and occasionally i get hopeful, i feel hopefully naive. i don't really believe this country will change. it feels good to think it could though, and that if someone could actually represent the people and not lie to them to distract them while secretly keeping the corporate status quo, sowing cancerous oats, wreaking environmental chaos and fomenting war. but i don't believe bernie could win really, and if he did he would be turned into another stooge of corporate power and the people would say well he had a good agenda, it just wasn't real. i still feel deep down hopefully naive, just not about the redemption of america. but then again...maybe he can win and we can make turn toward the sun of sanity, away from hate and demockisy, toward decency, toward the mother, toward earth!
 yes we can can!

we've been making this tree branch mobile sculpture falulu for some time and today i added an emoji balloon. lulu nabbed it and ran like hell, then she joyfully ripped it to pieces.

i see a piece of paper on the ground and there's a face on it and i think what if that's the same uncle bernie flyer? and i see it is—the same that fell from my pocket. then lulu nabs the bern and i nab him back and put him on the sun dial and lulu grabs the dude and runs like hell. go lulu! go bernie!
ok so he's not a radical. he is likable though. ah what the hell, the presidency is a criminal enterprise no matter who occupies.

every day is different. every moment is potential. apartheid lasted fifty years in south africa, in israel it's lasted seventy-two years, in the united states, who knows, but every day is different, every moment is potential.
