i finished wildcat dome. halfway i wondered what the title meant. then i forgot and just kept reading. some books it's best not to question and just keep reading like you're lucid dreaming through somebody else's words. in that way your own thoughts become contextual, enmeshed with the text. in the afterword i read about the runit dome, a concrete dome where the u.s. put all the radioactive waste from the bombs they dropped on the islands in the pacific with a faded sign posted murmuring warning do not enter. the cancer still erupts in the associated bodies. i think the book's about the mysteries of death.
