Isabel Wilkerson, following the book Deep South, wrote Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents. The gist of it is that caste uses race to oppress or gain advantage over others. So somebody like Obama can use race to take a park and call it improvement of the race, many of whom, regardless of color, are being displaced, by the ruling class.
