this guy said it's clearly a net gain for the neighborhood that obama took the end of the midway for his replacement playground. said there was nothing there, like it was a wasteland. i know i should keep mum about obama around here but i said actually it was a wetland, so, sorry, it's a net loss. there is no point. we can't change this kind of neoliberal progress, particularly because people think all development is a net gain, even if it takes the park and gentrifies the neighborhood. it's a net gain for the comfortably numb neoliberals in the neighborhood who think green space is real estate. sometimes i shut myself up but sometimes i simply can't keep mum, even if they hate me.
