it is like a city in the park, increasingly complex, labyrinthine. i have to keep looking and showing this. it's mindbending, and it corresponds in my mind with the destruction of gaza. gaza will look like this when all the palestinians are gone. it will look like a shining city of immense prosperity, but it will be only for the chosen people, as all settler-colonial projects. anyway the title i had for this post was "cataracts", the title of john berger's new posthumous book. cataract means waterfall, or an obstruction that descends from above. i will have to read this book but i'll start writing now, as it reminds me of gaza and the obamachron and i may have cataracts sometime maybe soon as the eye doc said. let me be brief and continue in another post.
