If evil does not exist we have in its absence apathy, inevitability. Maybe.
-From a review of Evil Does Not Exist, by the fellow who directed Drive My Car.
It's about a corporation repackaging land from a kind of pastoral idyll into a commodity.
I imagine the title is ironic. I imagine a corporate shill saying that to a villager. What to the displaced person or nature is felt as evil is simply opportunity for the corporation.
I look down below at the obamachron and i think if evil does not exist what is this that has overtaken our community park?
