i think godard tried too hard to be avant garde and political. i still don't get why mao was cool. i like the movie about godard and anna k. that movie gets to the spirit of godard. oh i do love hail mary and contempt to mention a couple. i would not throw the baby out with the bathwater. watching the film i wondered what would he think of it. sometimes i feel like the ghost of the subject is acting the role.
