today on the way home we saw a pit bull stray and a girl was taking pictures to post and we stopped and the dog was wagging for charlie but then growling probably for me so we hightailed it around ida noyes and lo and behold there she was drinking from a puddle and a guy from indiana stopped his car to offer the dog his leftover lunch and the dog chased him back into his car lickety split. we had stopped to wait for the dog to move on but then he saw us and started coming at us, not to us, growling. i yelled you go! get the fuck outa here! and i hoisted charlie up and carried her back around ida noyes hoping the coast was clear. the dog was still there but a couple was there and he didn't see us. don't tell amanda she's already rather nervous.
