i'm so glad jaspy lasted while r. was away. it would have been hard to bear, for everyone, if we weren't all here. i thought he would last, and i'm glad we had the time together, as hard as it was, for me and for him. i wanted him to last longer but he was a little hero staying alive, bringing his love and soul every precious hour of every blessed day.
