maya lin, who made the ghost forest in new york city, is contributing a sculpture, "seeing through the universe" to the obama center in the captured park. people who know better may also be enthralled and captured by the obama cult of personality. the more sophisticated manipulators know how to use their wiles to capture art and intellect in order to go about their private business in the public space. it's ironic that obama too made a ghost forest in jackson park, but the trees are gone, not art,  "repurposed" by his own brand of purpose.
