that's true, people can move, though some will become homeless, evicted, and unable to afford higher rents or the expense of moving. many people are in the situation of finding themselves on the street.

i just met a guy living in washington park for 3.5 years.
of course speaking for the trees is essential, on the same continuum as people displaced by people like obama, who were already struggling, like the trees. trees are killed, people are displaced. trees and people are one community.
it would be easily fixed if the rich and powerful didn't get the tiffs,  take the parks, etc, playing with peoples' lives and stealing repeatedly stolen land.
if we all could have looked through the lens of the common good...
but we get separated by race, by economics, by forces that want to utilize people and land for private enterprise. we get beat down by the profit motive, one and all. we all lose our real purpose in the mercenary repurposing.

jeannette read the opc article in black agenda report and said her lens was economic, about human displacement, while people can move, and the economic situation can be easily fixed. but therein lies the crux, we don't see that the trees and the people are both subject to the same forces of repurposing and exploitation. so the above is a reply to jeannette. i never heard back from margaret.
