i said that yesterday, and today the infernal river of traffic was diverted, and the marathon did run. i never anticipate this silence, i am always surprised. sara recalled a mayor in nyc closing 5th ave every sunday. that's what i would do if god forbid i was mayor, but no, i would close the freeway altogether, and let the swamp return. every day i would have drums and banjos and we would run the swamp marathon.
