people think he's named after rain, they haven't heard of rilke. maybe now they will have heard of the other rainer. i remember raineth, a boy i met in b.c. his mom, renee, was french. i thought she was saying rainer, but he actually was named after rain, or a painting of rain, called the rain it raineth every day. he spoke only the language of the animals.
