when i finished the book on rocky flats, Full Body Burden, i remembered the song Body's in Trouble by mary margaret o'hara and wonder where she is now. i'm not lucid these days and i don't know why, but reading the book i imagined some of the ills the people exposed to the incredibly toxic zone around golden and denver and rocky flats experience, the ubiquitous ones like chronic fatigue and fuzzy thinking. maybe these are symptoms of our culture even without the plutonium and all the chemicals f fracking and the nuclear free enterprise, or maybe the fallout is disseminated so that we can't tell what is the spiritual ill of our culture and what is our poison industry. i remember Safe, the movie where it is an open question what is personal and what is societal ill, and in the end it's the same isn't it. the body's in trouble.

full body memory.
