the south end of the lagoon. when you are here it seems there is nothing amiss or awry. but i'm reading total body burden and i know things are terribly awry. when you are here you are tempted to say nature is resilient, nature bounces back, like they say about chernobyl bouncing back to nature. it's magical thinking, and when people die of cancer around denver and rocky flats they say it's smoking or something you are doing wrong, as the nuclear industry bears no responsibility and no indemnity.
