 i saw a hawk on the fire escape in a dream. the atmosphere is different today. not yet, impending. i think again about aaron lighting himself on fire to protest the government mass murdering palestinians. it's difficult to think about burning one's self, and it's difficult to think about the government mass murdering an entire city of people, igniting a whole region, destroying whole countries, causing such suffering. it's hard to think about. aaron's burning was a protest of love and remorse for the hate this country has brought on the palestinians and the earth. it's hard to think about, they can blur the image, but the thoughts persist, burning in our minds.
