I read most of Sea of Grass. I put it down when I read that historians were still deciding whether the government deliberately slaughter the bison as a method of genocide. What? R. just read me a list of what we lost this year of genocide, and it was just a year. The list grows exponentially, year by year. We lost the Sea of Grass, we lost our humanity, or our potential humanity. What does it even mean? Humanity. Nature will always have the answer, once we defeat our purpose completely.
