On openness. Prediction is based on past experience. I was thinking about openness in the book about Jimmy Schuyler, how openness influenced his writing and in turn others. Then R. talked about the Marginalian today on Carl Rogers, on openness and becoming a person, which flows with the book I read, and on the experience of Karen's death, and all of us living together through it in the house on Canyonside Road. It's not easy staying open, but it's a gift, and a necessary one.
